It consists of a solid state RCA 5KW transmitter tuned down to 1KW output.
Feeding a 299 foot vertical antenna. The signal is a form of minimum shift
keying. It is transmitting GPS information.
By the way, a second beacon is planned for York, PA this fall.

Finally tuned the bugger in and it is booming into York Pa.
but the distance from Hagerstown Md. is not all that far.
any info on what the station consists of. According to DeLorme
I am 58 miles from Hagerstown.
