Thanks to all those who sent information:
Found a lot of useful information, will reconsider the antenna design,
was think of using aluminum drain pipe as the main mast, to about 40 feet.
I am planning to run a lowfer beacon as well but not sure where I am going
to put it.
Mike: W0EH In Canada our operation on 160 khz is the same as the U S A,
except that only advanced amateurs can build
their own transmitters, others have to buy them commercially or get
a ham to build them one. We can only build five
transmitters in total.
Power is the same 1w to the final stage, and Antenna length is 15
metres or 47 feet.
I will listen for "WE" , but 475 miles is a long haul for I watt. Am
currious about your tx loop and what kind of range you
get with it.
Paul: Will listen for "RW" What kind of power and antenna are you running ??
Have heard GLS and RG , will listen for Col Springs
Thanks to all again
