Sorry to post an off topic message to the group, but I know that
many folks are active in antenna design software. I plan to put
the new XM medfer beacon on the air later this summer,
and will run AM voice mode during Spring and Summer with
QRSS mode during DX season.
My plan for the AM mode is to run NOAA Weather Radio 24/7
as an aid to those local residents who don't have an alert radio.
I'd like to cut down a Radio Shack five element FM Yagi
to work at 162.5mhz. The beam will be mounted vertically,
and will be used for a distant station reception (the Birmingham
station has frequent outages).
Is there someone who's handy with the software that can tell me
what length to cut the elements?
