I have been from time to time getting captures of LEK's wolf and every once
in awhile will get a capture data set on the basic -q xxx.wav parameter. But
more often than not the first try will result in nothing or very small set
of data.I have then used the parameters -b, -f and -c with very good
results. After the initial run I correct the frequency -f for the
adjustmentshow on the data set.I then have tried values of -b for values of
12000 to 6000.This noise reduction value works Ok but one should be careful
not to use too large a value(4000).It just takes some trying. The -c
(coherant processing of value) has worked very good at producing some good
copy.I have generally used values of 7 to 4 with good results.
The following are examples of that playing around with those parameters from
a LEK capture on Sunday nite -3/0/02
The following is the initial data reduction with the basic set:
C:\Wolf>wolf -q lek1.wav

As one can see I had no info on LEK copy
But after several tries with those parameters this is the data from that
same capture

A very surprising result and some good data.Even at t864 a full copy set is
produced with q of -7.3
I just thought this may be of interest to you who have been trying to get
some wolf copy on LEK.You may want to try for another capture and see what
you get with those parameters.
David Willmore has asked for poor data sets and I surely have some but the
computer I use at the station does not have a CD-RW and since these are hugh
wav sets I am not sure just how to get him some of this..Will work on that.
