I'll try to get a better reading in the morning, but I think the listed
frequency is of the order of 70 Hz HIGH. I'm not sure of the
calibration of my receiver and also don't remember what I saw on
SPECTRAN. From the past I seem to remember that there is a significant
amount of frequency drift.
As for the keyer, I don't know what could be done. I'll forward your
message to Frank Cathell in Tucson. I think he can get in touch with
Jim and ask him. When signals are right the audio copy is quite good
enough for solid copy at his keying speed, which is pretty high for a DX
beacon.
Has anyone figured out what the sawtooth signal really is? I suspect
it comes from the East of here, as I hear it starting in the early
evening but not often during the day. It's very much stronger than MP
or GA, of course and plenty visible when they're not.
