> As of this morning i am back on the Vertical, How about a sig. report
Lewis,
Well, I'm a bit slow, but after several days of listening and capturing,
it really seems as though the haywire inverted L antenna works better
than the vertical. Your signal is normally the best during the morning
hours after sunrise, but since you stitched back to the vertical I
cannot copy you at all.
I have attached a ZIP file of several captures taken over the past few
days. If you view then showing FILE DETAILS in Windows Explorer, you
can see the date and time they were captured. As you will see, the L
has a much stronger signal than the vertical.
Maybe some morning when conditions are fairly good, you can do some A-B
switching for say, 5 minutes on each antenna, back and forth, so I can
see what happens over a short period of time. That should remove the
variables in day-to-day reception and tell you which antenna really
works better.
