Not such a far out idea. Ferrite tiles are available and are used in low
frequency test chambers which can't keep out the H field of unwanted signals
using copper screening. One of my experiments will be to spread out the four
conductors on the lower leg to form an oval shaped field having a lower
penetration distance into the soil.
