Hey Bill,
I'll do that. It will be interesting to see if the kennel bugs the loop. The
loop wire is running along the kennel for a total of 12 feet and is 2 feet
away from the top of the kennel fence panel. I just put the computer, that
is running the keyer, on my UPS so it won't stop keying if the power goes
out, the beacon is on it's own as far as power outages go. I just didn't
want to loose the keying signal as the beacon will fire up when the power
comes back on and will work fine. I created a separate "Captures" page for
the ARGO stuff. The link is on my LF page. I changed my CW message for the
locals to listen to. It is really fun to "hear" CW on the band. I'll get
that current probe out this week so we can find out what kind of current is
flowing out there.

When things settle down (I mean when when your excitment subsides, and you
pull yourself off the wall!) you might see if increasing the 2ft spacing to
4ft, or so, increases the antenna current. Just use a wooden pole to
temporarity move the wire. Re-tuning will be required if there is an
influence. You will find the output stage Vcc current will pretty much track
the actual measured antenna current.
