John W1TAG was running Win95, which has an old version of OLEAUT32.DLL .
If you get the same errors, go to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q192461
and click the VBRun60.exe link for a download.  Run it, reboot,
and see if that helps.

Afterwards, John got fairly good copy of Hifer NC.
I'm quite surprised, because the new decoder needs about 0.1 Hz
stability over a few minutes.  This is quite easy for most
LF equipment and paths, but an HF path is rarely this stable.

I tried to "tune" this decoder to LF conditions, and don't
really recommend it for HF.  I'm pretty sure that under typical
HF QSB conditions, Alberto's will do much better .
