Hi Steinar

I am please to see that you are on your way to build a Hifer.

A friend of mine VE2HGG is now building a Hifer around a Cardinal
Oscillator that is pin for pin
compatible with the Epson Oscillator but that can be ordered with precision
of 25 PMM that is 2 times better than the Epson with his 50 PPM. At 13.5
Mhz 50 PPM equal + or - 675 Hz ! and 25 PPM + or - 337 Hz, it is always a
guess when you buy these programmable oscillators !
He ordered from DigiKey a Cardinal Oscillator " CC4H5RT " that is in the
middle between NC and RY for 13,555435 Mhz and he crossed his fingers :)
The oscillator can be anything around a bandwith of 675 Hz centered aroud
13,555435.
When powered at 5 V the Cardinal Oscillator is in fact 30 Hz higher than
the ordered frequency, not to bad, or about 20 Hz over GA or right on MP !!
But when powered at 4.7 V the frequency is about 10 Hz higher, just between
MP and NC !!
If everything goes well this Hifer will be on air in less than 2 weeks.

Have a good luck with your Hifer Steinar, to be shure that i will try
everything to send you a positive report :)
