The latest USCG Radionavigation Bulletin has some interesting info. They
have converted 54 of the old GWEN sites to DGPS use. The towers are 299
feet tall with 12 top loading wires with an efficiency of 55% in the
285-325 kHz band.

Also to save money they are experimenting with sharing LORAN antenna
systems with DGPS by using diplexers and loading up guy wires for DGPS
use. Apparently this is already being done with some NAVTEX transmissions
on 518 kHz.
