[Lowfer] BAT Received in Alabama

Finally able to receive BAT here last night, just outside of Birmingham,=20
Alabama. Distance
is 596 miles on an almost due North heading. Best signal was received=20
around 0230AM-0300AM CST.

1Hz below BAT, NC was strong from about an hour before sunset local until=20
around local sunrise. As noted
before the east-west path here lately has been very strong, with NC being=20
as strong as any QRSS signal
ever received here.

Congratulations to Bob on his successful top loading experiments. I've long=
=20
been interested in attempting
top loading experiments here, however the engineering challenges of=20
adjusting a coil 40 feet in the
air have prevented any serious tests here.

My next targets (starting tonight) will be BRO and WA. I'll attempt=20
reception of BRO tonight...
if successful prior to bedtime, I'll then send a message to WA and switch=20
to unattended captures
of WA. If possible, I'd like to request both stations to run full 1 watt=20
input during the next
several days.
