Les,

It's great to have a receive antenna that really works isn't it?

LF propagation has been rather strange lately. The fellows in Europe
have notice this also. Mid range paths seem to be enhanced while DX
paths are down. Also mid day propagation appears to be above normal.
John, W1TAG, had an excellent signal from NC at 11 a.m. EST. We noticed
a complete drop out of the signal about 11:53 with it gradually
returning a while later. John found that a minor solar flare occurred
at this time.

I checked on NC just before sunset. The coil tuning was slightly high
but the signal measured only .5 db down from peak resonance so I didn't
retune it. Input power was 0.99 watt (16.25V @ 61 ma).
