----- Hi Les....just got back to town about an hour ago. We had a tremendous
snow / wind / ice storm here on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Shortly
after sunrise on Sunday we lost power on the isalnd and it was still off
when I left this morning. At times the wind peaked at 60 MPH from the
S-E...the big loop was heeled over at approx 30-40 degrees from vertical at
times but always sprang back...that 2" black ABS pipe is amazingly tough
stuff...it seems to have enough "give" to absorb anything that has come at
it off the ocean so far!!
Condx were not great this weekend; some of my normal BCB and NDB indicators
from down your way were non-existent and both nights produced no results.
Lets just hope the sun calms down, solar flux drops and things return to
normal soon. Will watch next weekend for you again.
