Hi Jay

Looks like you guys went a bit wild last night!

You might say that! It hit me when I looked at my e-mail screen at one
point, and due to various delays in transmissions, it was all "Ashlock,
William". Guess we've (the wilder bunch, that is) will have to cool it for a
while. Maybe a limit to one designated madness night per week with a
response per hour, per person, limit? Sure was fun though.

OK on the 2db measurements and the need for further study. Have you taken a
reading on my 20db signal differential since I set the input current ratio
to exactly 10x?

To answer your question...What I am saying is that the 2 dB should be
considered
a worst case uncertainty. Most measurements should be much better - probably
within a dB. The more diligent you are with the cursor to find a maximum
level
on the two signals to be compared the better your measurement. If you gave
me
two off the air signals on Argo I wouldn't want to stake my life that my
measurement was any better than 2 dB, although it is quite likely that it
would
be.

Again, more study is needed.
