[Lowfer] No joy at the Rat Pack Party

As usual, I went home without my date.
Serious static crashes continually pumped the AGC action on Argo, rendering=
=20
the
entire evening useless for weak signal work. Faint traces of NC were=20
visible, but
nothing like last night's strong path.
Quick check of NDB hot list revealed that path to New England was not great=
to
begin with...storms almost certain to pound us tonight so I'll likely=20
disconnect and
ground all the antennas this morning before leaving for work.
Let's try again Friday night.
Also, for Steve McDonald, I need to know if you'd like to take another shot=
=20
at receiving
XM on QRSS60 this coming weekend. I'm going to be out of town, so it will be
easy enough to leave it running. If, however, you're also going to try for=
the
"Rat Pack" on 185.3, I may just leave Argo running all weekend and hope for=
=20
the best.
God, I love big hard drives!
Also, BRO remains on my "hit list" along with several others. I think it's=
=20
now become a
race here between propagation and spring time storms.
Thanks for the effort boys, but I doubt it any real DX happened last=20
night...those
storms must have raised QRN levels nationwide.
