G'day John,

From a personal point of view I have interests which involve over a dozen
groups. What I need is to be able to have a single entry point such that
when I switch on the PC I can receive that wide range of incoming info and
have it organised. I do this by having rules on incoming emails which
automatically move emails to their own folder. Depending on my particular
interest I then go to that folder and only see stuff relevant to that
interest. To me responsive email groups (less than 60 seconds) are what I
need. A website for each interest would be totally unuseable for me.
It simply would take me too long to navigate to each one just to see if
something new has turned up.

I do use the LWCA web page while I am at work during lunch time as they have
a strict policy on looking at personal emails over their system. The only
complaint about this medium is that if I track down through a thread and
then go back to the top page, the responses I have visited are not marked.
I then lose track of which ones I have looked at.

My $0.10 worth (remember I am talking about Australian pesos :-)
