[Lowfer] Mystery Signal at 182.2

Hi Lloyd:

I guess that we share the frequencies with lots of other services -- none of
whom expect to be monitored. The 182.2 frequency has been getting lots of
attention from me because of all of the past activity there.

I have heard much faster signals like this on 182.2 and they are interesting
since I think I can hear the reply too. They consist of a string of dots at
approx. 7 wpm (typically 10-15 of them) followed by a burst that sounds like it
might be some kind of fast FSK (or kinda like a FAX) for about a second. That's
followed by a similar string at an audibly different frequency with a different
number of dots.

The stuff I saw this morning was at a Veeery slow rate (many minutes) and didn't
seem to have any info at the end of the string.

I think it might be commies, but then I never got over the cold war.

Regards
Rye.
