Steve,

Thanks for your persistence! Looks like the peak lasted just long
enough for both letters to be copied. The snow had no effect on the
antenna tuning. I was having a real problem keeping the new antenna
tuned when I first turned it up. Every day it was resonant about 1 kHz
higher. In a discussion with Ashlock he asked if the leaves were still
falling from the oaks here. Sure enough I could associate the tuning
with leave count. When just about all the leaves were gone the tuning
stabilized.

This is certainly a fantastic accomplishment but we all know what made
it possible. A 30 db advantage over what we were using years ago is
certainly a giant step into the noise. Will we ever see a another step
into the noise that great again? I doubt it! But I had this same
feeling about QRSS and computer aided copy not much over a year ago. I
guess I could be wrong twice in one life time.

A QSL will be on it's way Steve. Two down two to go. 510.5 and 49.8255
:)
