Mike:
The SVM does not have much front end selectivity and will easily overload
and give intermod from BC stations if cranked down to it's -70 dBm,  -80 
dBm and greater
sensivities.   If you can add an input filter to it then it should do well.
Most SVMs have a real narrow filter slot available, typically 50 Hz or 100 
Hz which
the JA transceiver probably can't match.
