Hello Mike.
I have thhe same meter you have and I have 1 question.
Do you know of a way to change the BFO freq?
I think it is currently 1850 HZ
Any ideas ?

Hi,
I think it all depends on the brand/model of SLV. I
don't know where a TS-440 stands as far as noisefloor
& sensitivity but this site
http://www.sherweng.com/table.html has some
interesting comparisions. My HP3586B with no antenna
attached, in 3100Hz filter mode, the noisefloor is
-122dBm; in the 400Hz filter mode, the noisefloor is
-124dBm; & in the 20Hz filter mode, the noisefloor is
-129dBm. I'm not sure what it's sensitivity is
without flipping thru the ops manual which I do not
have accessible to me right now.
What the heck, get both SLV & the converter & test'em.
