Yea all my boats are plastic. I would have to use a loop to get out!!! Hi
HI. A schedule would be great. I am putting a starter in my junk Chevy
tonight; it isn't fun push starting the piece of .... Well you know what I
mean, but I will make a run to the Depot to get some wire for that special
non-patented antenna. It'll work great with the new KW FET amp!!! I just had
to throw that in there!!! I will be QRP this weekend. Oh yea, what is a good
freq to populate with my signal???

An informal CW QSO sked sounds fine to me. During the early 90's (and
probably before that), it was common practice to tune around on the band and
start calling a station if it interrupted its beacon transmissions. It was
kind of hit or miss, and most skywave LowFER QSOs were coordinated on 160m.
But sometimes it was the other way around. I can remember XJ calling me on
LF to tell me that Brice (W9PNE, BA) was looking for me on 160.
After reading of Bill Ashlock's plans to set a new LowFER DX record on skis,
I think we should try to outdo him with a kayak-to-kayak two-way. On second
thought, my old aluminum canoe would provide a better ground plane, but the
sailboat already has a mast... Well, it might be best to wait until the
water warms up a bit; at least until it changes back to liquid state.
