Here's another approach. From my noise-challenged home location, my best "by
ear" copy has been 350 miles. This was done in the daytime, as my nighttime
noise levels are pretty bad. The traditional period for best daytime copy
has been in late December and early January.

I know that Lyle and others have done a lot better from quieter sites, and
those that are blessed with lower nighttime noise levels have far greater
potential.
