Les,

Your schedule will allow me to conduct some more loop tests over the weekend
without affecting you. I have a new out-of-sight N/S loop wire that hasn't
been connected yet. JJ, to the south, should have the welding goggles in
place the next time he swings the dial toward 185.3!

Will be back up running my regular QRSS60 by late Sunday night.

Thanks for looking,

Bill

Subject: [Lowfer] XM Test

I've been asked to conduct a QRSS60 transmission test this weekend
by two listeners still trying to put XM into their logbook. So, schedule
is as follows:

Tonight, I'll be looking for WA in the hopes that QRN levels will be low
enough and propagation good enough to capture his signal. So far, this
path has not produced good results.

Friday afternoon, I'll switch XM on in QRSS60 mode and leave it on all
weekend. Hopefully Steve McDonald can also try for us on the island for
the 2000+ mile path.

Starting Monday evening, I'll pull the switch and start looking for WA
again. Rumour has it that Mike up in Minnesota may have his beacon
on by the end of the weekend too...so they'll be others signals to
listen for.

Spring's coming, so I'm hopefully for some late season heroics!

73,

Les Rayburn, N1LF
