Lyle,

A good rule of thumb from my experience and from some UK guys yesterday on
LF reflector is a 3 to 1 Rac ratio in favor of Litz for the same wire
diameters. That's a tremendous 3x radiated power advantage for a TX loop
(assuming minimal soil losses)!

I put my mouth in gear before engaging my brain. Yes, there is an advantage
in using Litz wire, even when you don't have turns in close proximity. But I
don't have a ready reference showing how much actual resistance difference
there is between a length of Litz wire and the equivalent size of solid
copper wire at a given frequency.
