Thanks Lyle. How was your trip??? As you know, it snowed so there wasn't any
flying. Your program runs fine in Windows 2000 SP2. It runs in a protected
memory mode in a DOS window. I already have it and have played with it
several times. Now I have to actually run a port with it. I still have to
build one of your push/pull amps. I have all the parts sitting here. I have
2 more wires to cut for the second half of the flattop and then it is pretty
much done. I tested my ground plane on 40 meters the other night, and all is
working like the first day I put it in. I suppose it will help the coil with
the ground being a virtual screen within several feet of the feedpoint. I
think you will here me no matter what I have for a temporary coil. I will
get started on the Dex style coil/variometer after the vertical is up. I
hope to have it built this weekend yet. I will put the beacon on the air
with some kind of coil on Friday night or sooner if I am lucky. I will have
a loop up and pointed right at you in a few weeks. I am searching for big
Litz wire for it. I think we can have many CW ragchews on either antenna. It
should work out great for Les as well. As per Les's suggestion, I will pick
a frequency near you and BRO. I better get to bed as it is late.
Gn,
Mike
