Yeah, you can't tell a lot. One of the "features" of these loops is a lot of
high angle radiation which probably enhances the fading at your distance.
Still beats having no signal at all, which would be the alternative in my
case. I'm still amazed that an antenna with no ground system, and surrounded
by trees, can perform this well.

I'm at a stopping point for antenna improvements. Am diverting my energies
to stuff like Jason, Wolf, and so on. Will hopefully have something on the
air tomorrow night.
