Reminds me of some time ago - using 75 meter dipoles made of 300 ohm ribbon
and open wire. We just connected it to 120V ac for a little while, watched
the ice drop - and re-connected back to the rig....  remember that >  Mitch

Been there, done that - well sorta. One time back in '55 I connected the TX
loop to 220ac to get the ice off. Not only did the ice comma cracking off
but it set fire to the whole back 40! Heck of a shame.
