Hi Bill and all,

IMO, there are only two ways to become infected with this particular
virus by email (it also spreads through network shares).

One is to actually open the attachment.

Two is if all of the following are true:
1. You are running Outlook Express 5.x .
2. You do not have the update, issued early in 2001, described at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS01-020.asp .
3. You are not running antivirus software with Klez in the database.

Bill, you seem to be using Web-based Hotmail, so would not be affected.
If you're still worried, see
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.gen.html
or your favorite antivirus site.

73,

Stewart
