With just about everyone running very slow CW or similar modes, it's a good
idea to choose a frequency very close to another LowFER beacon, preferably
one that is known to be widely heard. That will improve the odds of anyone
"listening" on your frequency on a given night. The most-listened-to
frequency is 185.3, although you would face some stiff competition there.
BRO and LEK are grouped together at 182.2, with BRO precisely at 182.200 and
LEK's graphic mode starting at 182.201. You're welcome to join us there,
although I might have trouble picking you up because BRO is so strong.
Another spot would be FAW's frequency at 185.185. His frequency appears to
be very stable and accurate, and he has been copied at 1000 + miles. Whether
or not you choose to park next to FAW, that is the LowFER you are most
likely to copy at your location.
