[Lowfer] With less frequency...

To tell you the truth, the only station out east that I have seen more than
once is (Bubble Burst Time) "WA". To the SE is "NC". To the S is "XSR" with
a day and night signal and "IP" when he turns it on. I will make up some
cables tonight so I can use the E-Field probe on my regular receivers. That
should see the rest of them out east.

So I understand that the 3/4th inch pipe loop is no good. I was hoping that
it was going to be a nice usable rotatable loop for transmitting. Darn.

Mike R,

Do it! Lyle sees us so we will see you! BTW, how come you don't report
seeing us?

That would be an option for me.

This is an experimental 25ft diam octaloop made from 3/4" pipe that was
supposed to be equivalent to a full sized #12 loop. The Rac was found to be
about 2X the predicted value (meaning a 3db loss in signal from predicted)
and it looks like I have proven that the Skin effect resistance of a
conductor based on std math is not equal to the Rac of the loop,
particularly for smaller loops. The loop still hangs in the back yard and I
need to get back to this. Funny how the cold weather effects the motivation!
<G> The ground is really dry and/or frozen so there will be minimal effect
to the tests from damp ground.
