Hi Bill--
 Why not try just leaving it running-BUT-switch in the 'appropriate' amount
of attenuation (at rx front end) while on TX and out again on rx.  You'll
need perhaps a 1db step attenuator to set up easily.  Preamps may be an
issue-but not needed on TX so switch 'em off/out as above to protect etc.
Switching rate to be determined based on ARGO settings. There must be a
reasonable compromise in there (and it WILL be a compromise) between dot
length and switching rate.
  Alternatively or as well-There's a good case here for you all to develop
GPS synchronised element timings-and then sort out who goes when!
