In an earlier post, Bill made reference to using a power line ground at
9Khz. Someone else mentioned it might not be legal.

FYI, at the 9 Khz that Bill and I were planning to experiment on there are
virtually no rules. You can use almost any antenna you want. In fact, I was
talking to some Railroad folks about using several miles of abandoned wires
running along the tracks.

Anyway, a former Lowfer in the Midwest once had a beacon just above 8 Khz
that used a plate modulation transformer to impress the current into a
ground line running down a phone pole.
