Are you certain that you were clear of trees by say 100ft where you made =
your measurements and with the engine off?  You should be able to hear th=
at loop out to 100 miles in the direction of the loop plane with the type=
 of soil you have there. What is your E-probe setup like. If you weren't =
putting out a good signal Mitch would not be able to see TMO all day long=

I'm not exactly buying the shadow idea. That would be the effect at much =
higher frequencies, but the metal in the garage would likely mess up the =
pattern somewhat by absorbing energy and/or producing a field of its own =
that could distort the figure 8 pattern. Remember that the size of the wa=
ve you are producing is over 1 mile long. =20

75 ft should be far enough away as not to be a serious problem for the lo=
op. The magnetic field falls off to the cube of the distance.
