Online Schematics?

What about MS Paint? It's likely not elegant but I tried it and was
able to make a few cap. symbols and link them to a box w/ some text in
it. Simple. Paint has built-in line figures. This art could be saved as
a graphics file and email-attached. However, isn't that prohibited on
this list? I think so. Is the idea then to embed the art work?

Bill brings up a good point. Does anyone have any recommendations for

quick and dirty way to do schematics for on-line explanations? Ideally,

would generate .jpg or .gif files of reasonable size without a lot of
extra
steps.
