I'm planning on getting a vacuum variable in there when we get the 136kc
band. I figured that it was time for a house cleaning, as I didn't do
anything to it before. I'll have to get the motor control wire run into the
house so I can give it a turn every so often without getting chewed on by
the killer mosquitoes. How does the trimmer caps do over time outside??? Do
you have to retune after rain or summer/winter temp changes???

Mike,

That's the problem with those VCs at high current and a bit of outside
temperature and humidity extremes thrown in. Guess you could look for a
copper version of that VC and solder a braided wire right to the plates.

BTW: I'm back to QRSS30 as well.
