At 185k the radiation resistance is about 100 times lower compared to a 
vertical of equal size, and this is a bad characteristic. So the current
in 
the loop has to be 10 times higher to make up for this....  and this is 
doable if you understand how to deal with the variables..... and they are

quite different than those for a vertical. In fact the loop is far less 
susceptible to outside forces and is much easier to install.  .....and
far 
less unsightly, if not invisible.

and you dont want to forget the pattern which gives some improvement
in signal in the favored direction
( I didnt say gain )  Grin

and if judging by Mikes enthusiasm must be addicting, could loops become
a controlled substance
