Unfortunately this doesn't help.    Before the two vertical legs cancelled
each other and the two horizontal legs cancelled each other.    By twisting
the horizontal legs you now have the two verticals re-inforcing each other
and the two horizontal legs cancelling each other.    The problem is now the
vertical parts of the twist is anti-phase to the outside vertical legs.
Status quo.    Unfortunately this state of affairs exists while the
dimension of the loop is a small fraction of the wavelength and so the
direction of the current is all the same around the loop at any instance :-(
