Thanks, John, but I wonder if you were aware that a lot of us didn't even
know this was in the works?

Over at the Longwave Message Board we started receiving inquiries after a
few days of no messages on the Lowfer reflector. My own test message was
returned with an "unknown" error message, and a visit to the qth.net home
page yesterday said _nothing at all_ about a conversion to new software!

When I saw that the Lowfer list was no longer listed in the Javascript form
at the left of the qth.net page, I followed the "more boards" link, from
which I surmised a change might be in the works (only surmised, because
nothing there clearly indicated a change, either). But of course, at that
time, a message to the new list address only resulted in a "Your message to
Lowfer awaits moderator approval" response, since the member list hadn't
been transferred yet.

I'm glad to see that the reflector has returned. But I hope you will let us
users know in advance, please, of planned changes of this
magnitude...preferably a couple of times, because one drawback of an e-mail
reflector is that if you don't receive one single message, you don't even
know that you didn't receive it. If a message was sent about this change, I
can attest that quite a number of us were completely in the dark about it.

At any rate, thanks for bringing it back online and letting us know what the
situation is. And thanks for your continuing efforts on our behalf, as well
as to the folks at qth.net.
