Hello Everyone,

Spent the last 2-3 days playing with LoTW (Beta Testing). I urge everyone
to try this now before they go live later this year as you can make all the
errors you want NOW...Hi.

Converting my LOGBOOK.DBF was the easy part (you will need separate software
for this). Setup, submitting your logs, and checking your QSO's involves a
9 step process all outlined on the LoTW getting started site:
http://www.arrl.org/lotw/#download Just download the software and follow
the 9 step instructions.

You will not be able to send in logbook QSO's dated before January 1, 1998.
Either modify your LOGBOOK.DBF file before converting to ADI or you can
modify the ADI file after you have converted. I copied my LOGBOOK.DBF over
to a separate file, converted to ADI then modified the ADI to show only
QSO's from 1998 to present.

I spent about 2 hours converting my files, downloading the software and
submitting for the certificate then, submitting my logs to the LoTW server.
I have about average computer skills so your time spent may vary depending
on how well you know computers.

Give it a try....I'll try to answer any questions some of you may have (with
my limited knowledge of this new program) and there is also a LoTW support
team waiting to help you on the site.
