I've just posted LOGPlus! For Windows V.002 (BETA) on the ftp site at
	ftp://ftp.logplus.org/windows/lp4w002.exe

This program has a number of refinements to the TELNET CLIENT as well as
additional features.

Your data -
	Please delete the file logbook.dbf, logbook.fpt, logbook.cdx,
dxcc.dbf, dxcc.cdx from the
\logplus\n7xr\ directory before running this program.

Under utilities I've added a feature to convert your existing
LOGBOOK and DXCC data to
LP4W format. Run this feature to convert your data.

One thing I've noticed in the various logbooks I've had posted
to the FTP site is a inconsistences
in the way folks enter county hunter information. For this
reason, I'll recommend the following -

After the conversion is completed and the program has Indexed
all the database files, go to
Utilities and select Auto Update Logbook from CDROM. You'll
notice all the fields selected.
Please uncheck email and address at the bottom, they are not
implement. Next, uncheck everything
except County. If you wish to update the other fields, ok, but
county is all I'm concerned with
	at this point.

Run the update. You'll notice the county field has been
modified to look like -

		232 - Countyname - (City name)

This information is extracted straight from the Callbook CDROM.
Also note - There has been 1 additional
county added in 2001 for Colorado. This county is now numbered
227. Since the numbers have changed,
I've written the program to automatically increment the county
number correctly after 227. This will
assist in the auto update feature later on.

Frequencies - You'll notice the frequency is now entered and
displayed as 14232.3 3787.0 etc. The
conversion will automatically update the frequency field to
match this. Why? Because it works much
better when working with contest conversions and packet data.

New features activated.
All those items on the menu that are not DIMMED are usable. You
can now browse your logbook, dxcc and
waz databases. Please note - you should try the RIGHT and LEFT
mouse buttons on all the different fields.
	You'll notice different things happenings.

My particular interest here is the TELNET CLIENT and the
logbook, dxcc, waz browsers. Please note any comments
Or additions you'd like added to the program.
