I had a few outstanding issues with v4.6 which I've corrected with v4.7.
Everyone should download v4.7 (if you're a subscriber) from the ftp site
if you don't get the attached via the subscribers email which will
follow -
1. K1B, K4M and K5K all register to the appropriate countries now.
I've added a new feature under the Prefix to Country Mapping (F5 - new
entry) which will allow you to input the country name. Is it required -
no, but useful. For example -
Prefix: K1B
Country: KH1
Country Name: Baker, Howland Islands
etc...
As future Dxpeditions come on line with these oddball callsigns, I'll
update them quicker in the program. I'm still puzzled as to why they are
not required to sign /portable since K1, K4 and K5 are all conus
prefixes.
2. Kenwood TS-2000 Support. The manual and what actually happens with
the radio are wrong! Kenwood needs to fix their software. Under older
Kenwoods, you would issue a "AI1;" command which would query the radio
and download the appropriate information. With the TS-2000, they came
out with 2 new commands "AI2;" for extended commands and "AI3;" for
both. Neither works. The only way to get the program to function
properly is to use the "IF;" command which is not the right command
because it overflows the computer buffer at times. Set the TS-2000 at
57600Baud rate. If the frequency does not change when you change BANDS,
change the mode quickly and the radio will wake up. I do hope Kenwood
fixes this problem and provides a bios fix to current users.
3. Frequency display incorrect or truncated below 10MHz when using
ALT-F4. Fixed. Though the number after the decimal point will need to
be manual updated, everything else works.
