[LogPlus] Islands on the Air (IOTA) Award.

For a number of years, Ken/W1NG has been instrumental in updating the
IOTA.DBF file, and I know I and many others appreciate his work. Ken
has informed me that the IOTA system has undergone a number of changes.
A number of fields have become basically obsolute or nearly impossible
to maintain because of the ongoing changes. For this purpose, I would
like to modify the IOTA Award database structure by removing a few
fields. Unfortunately, this will not happen for v4.2 but will be
included in v4.3 along with a fresh new iota.dbf file.

However, between now and then, I'd like your comments. Please sent them
directly to [email protected], not the reflector. I will include
them on a web page. Remember, the IOTA Handbook should be a ready
reference where all the information inside LOGPlus can be found.
Duplicating the information in a database is actually counter-productive
and honestly a waste of time.

The following fields will be removed -
	1. Position
	2. Comments
	3. Reference Letter
	4. Country
	5. Group

Again, your comments appreciated. At the release of v4.2, I will also
be posting a survey on the www.logplus.org website that I would
appreciate your comments on. It will contain a number of questions on
your operating requirements when it comes to awards. Please take the
time to fill it out.

Bob
