[LOGic] Unable to cut/copy & paste in comments

I am still using Logic8 and over the weekend during the ARRL DX SSB Contest
I found that all of a sudden, I was no longer able to copy and paste
comments. 
It is entirely possible that I may have accidentally & unknowingly tweaked
one of the program options to cause this to happen but I am not very
proficient with this program.
To me it is a bit overwhelming and very convoluted. I am using this with a
Dell Inspiron using Windows8. 
The HELP file search and index options are totally useless and do not
address my needs. 
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
