looks like your advice has worked perfectly.....not a single "time out" or a "Logic must close" blurb since following your advice. Thanks so much, it has not been fun or pretty using Logic 9 and I've been frustrated at not knowing what to do.....that stuff would happen one Q after another during contesting then the "Close" business made for a non-happy time. Thanks to you though all seems well now.

I deleted all of the .CDX files. I think there were 14 of them. The .CDX files are index files and get rebuilt the next time you run LOGic9.

I was using the Legacy rig driver for a while, then things settled down and I was able to use the new rig drivers.

Ron, which .CDX files as I have a bunch. Also, using the Legacy seems to have helped even though my rig isn't listed under the ICOM list. Instead of a IC765 a IC 775 is listed to used that Legacy.

Nick,
Using the legacy rig drivers might help. When I have trouble I do this:

Exit LOGic. Do a CLEAN UP INDEXES AND TEMPORARY FILES. Next, delete all of the .CDX files located in the folder that contains your database. Start LOGic.

I need some practical information concerning Logic 9. Since the installation it has not behaved as had 7, or 8. I continuously get "restart" notices and "Logic has to Close". I'm sick of it. The interface is working properly, the com ports are adjusted and so is the rig interface using the all other Icom interface. I'm using my trusty IC765 and while Logic worked like magic in earlier editions 9 is not. Has anyone had similar problems?
