[LOGic] Logic 9

Not specifically, but I am still running V8.0.104, which has been stable for 
years, but I basically am guaranteed errors if I use the Callbook function. 
Dennis and the QRZ people both point fingers at each other, and occasionally 
at Windows (I'm running WIN7 Ultimate on a 6-core AMD). I've followed all 
recommendations including  paying the $$$ to subscribe to QRZ. Dennis has 
previously told me the problem is not with LOGIC, and that an upgrade to 
LOGIC9 would not change this situation. I'm sure he's shooting straight with 
me, but the issues persist.

I think your situation is a bit different...sorry but I don't know what the 
cause might be.

Sadly, I think this is the destiny of mature software applications. As the 
communication paths mature, and also the operating systems and PC hardware, 
things just sort of drift away. I'm afraid there will be a day, hopefully 
long in the future, when I have to say goodbye to LOGIC and find some other 
application. Thus far I see nothing which can compete with LOGIC, however 
the errors and restart issues are quite frustrating. LOGIC9 holds no 
features I need, so I do not upgrade. Some future LOGIC, if it bypassed 
these issues, would be a worthwhile investment for me.

I need some practical information concerning Logic 9. Since the installation 
it has not behaved as had 7, or 8. I continuously get "restart" notices and 
"Logic has to Close". I'm sick of it. The interface is working properly, the 
com ports are adjusted and so is the rig interface using the all other Icom 
interface. I'm using my trusty IC765 and while Logic worked like magic in 
earlier editions 9 is not. Has anyone had similar problems?
