[LOGic] Logic 8

Have been using Logic 8 and earlier versions for number of years.   
Experienced few problems until now.  There are several things which I can  not use 
i.e. MAP, DX Atlas, SPOT LOG and others.  Possibly some files have  become 
corrupted or the like.  I am running Microsoft Vista and have  the Logic 8 
CD.  Is it possible to insert and run the Logic 8 CD, would  this overwrite 
and correct any corrupted files?  Would all the log data  remain in place?  
Not a computer guru so any help would be most  appreciated.  Thank you.
