[LOGic] LOGic forum

I need to throw my $0.02 in too.

I much prefer this email list to the "web based" forum alternative which I
guess is now the official site? Sending/receiving LOGIC-related info is much
easier using an "email approach" than posting on a forum (in my opinion).

I too started with LOGIC 4 and have not gone beyond LOGIC 8. It meets 99%
of my needs, and yes, has a few quirks, which I live with. I won't go into
them because it's not worth the bother.

But my questions are regarding LOGIC 9...
a) For those of you have gone from V8 to V9, what do you gain? What do you
lose?
b) I have always had trouble when upgrading LOGIC versions, in that the
default databases (especially PREFIX and DXCC tables) do not meet my needs.
In the past I have had to spend a lot of time fixing errors produced by the
upgrades, rebuilding tables to suit my needs, etc. If I were to do a
standard install of LOGIC9, then import my log files, is there a way to
simply COPY my LOGIC8 directories and files on top of the new version? Which
files & directories? What to avoid?

Glad to see there is still some life on this list!
