I understand what you're saying. Don't think that's the situation here...I 
can move parts of the windows off the screen(s), but none of the windows 
will completely disappear.

Resolution on both monitors is set to 1920x1080, which is the max (and 
recommended) resolution.

I suppose I could force one of the applications to "get lost" again, then 
once lost, could change resolution and see if it shows up...but I hate doing 
this because something always seems to get messed up!

I still think this is an issue with LOGIC...the other curious thing which 
seems related is on LogicMap I can drag the mouse over spots on the map and 
it'll show me QSO data but ONLY if LogicMap is on the "main" monitor....as 
soon as LogicMap moves to the secondary monitor, dragging the mouse over 
spots no longer displays QSO data (altho LogicMap otherwise works OK on the 
secondary monitor).

The problem I had a couple of times when setting up my 2 monitor systems was
that the screen was showing me less than what was the whole desk top.
Several application's icons were beyond the viewing area allowed by the
resolution I had set. Once I got the resolution set right the whole desk top
became viewable and I could see all the icons.

A good thought, and my answer is "I don't think so???"

Both monitors are Dell 24 jobs, on is maybe 9 months newer then the other.
When I set everything up I tired to make both monitors equal in all
respects. Cant swear to that 100%, but close/...

OK, I had an "AHA!" moment.

Not sure WHY this is happening, but here's a for-sure bandaid until we have
a better handle on it.

It set up my 2 monitors and pick one or the other as "main". I also slide
the logging software, rig control, HAMCAP, maps, email, browser, etc.,
wherever.

If an app gets lost (and it is ALWAYS either HAMCAP or LOGIC, or a piece of
LOGIC), I can tell it's running (shows in TaskManager, maybe on taskbar, in
LOGIC Windows), it will NOT appear on either monitor.

The bandaid: Rightclick on an empty part of the desktop, select Screen
Resolution, and then use this window (it's part of WIN7 Control Panel) to
switch main and secondary monitor. Hit APPLY and the monitors flip, and the
"lost" applications show up.

You can then drag the "lost" windows to a new position or screen, then
repeat the above main/secondary swap, and all will be good.

At that point you should SAVE all applications, and exit them in an orderly
fashion. I believe this will tell them/Windows what their last known screen
locations were. With any luck, when you next start up, they will reappear
where expected and where last saved.

It would seem that this is something with legacy applications which have
limited awareness of the virtual desktop. Not sure what role the graphics
software does to further complicate the scenario.

Enough experimenting for one day. Hope this helps someone.
