[LOGic] Windows 7 and Mirrored Volumes

Hi everyone.

We have been using motherboards with RAID 1 support (mirroring) our XP
machines. Although we have never lost anything due to drive failure,
they have been problematic, often reporting a defective disk that upon
reformatting and rebuilding, will continue to work -- for a while.

There is exciting new feature in Windows 7, reason enough to upgrade.
RAID support!! It is the same software RAID that we have used on our
web servers for years -- absolutely bulletproof. I installed Win 7
Professional 64 on my development machine and so far am loving it!

As far as I know, all versions of Win 7 support mirroring.

Incidentally, those blue USB=>RS232 adapters we sell work on Win 7
64-bit, plug and play. No surprise really, probably the same drivers as
Vista.

Fe is recovering nicely. Thanks all for your prayers. Hope everyone had
a good Tnxgiving.

73,

Dennis WN4AZY
